Marketing AI Agents Are Here

AI Agents Are the New Smart Interns

Adobe rolls out artificial intelligence "agents" that brands can use to help consumers navigate their websites. Adobe is known for consumer apps such as Photoshop but also sells a suite of business-to-business software tools used in online marketing, which made up a quarter of Adobe's $21.5 billion in sales in its most recent fiscal year.

These AI agents that don’t just chat, they optimize. These bots tailor website experiences based on how users arrive (TikTok vs. Google), suggest changes to boost sales, and even implement them. No dev team needed. It's like having a growth hacker who never sleeps.

Skai launched Celeste AI, a commerce-focused tool that merges retail and media data. It monitors product availability, competitor moves, and automates content updates. Think of it as your digital shelf whisperer.

Retailers Are Going Full AI

Zalando is using generative AI to slash campaign production time from weeks to days and cut costs by 90%. They’ve created digital twins of models to keep up with fast-moving trends like “mob wife” and “brat summer.” It's a game-changer for brands aiming to stay agile.

Amazon introduced AI-powered contextual ads on Prime Video. These ads analyze what you're watching and serve up relevant products. It's a blend of entertainment and shopping that's hard to ignore.

Media & AI: From Frenemies to Partners

Le Monde partnered with AI startup Perplexity to enhance AI-generated responses using its content. In return, Le Monde gains access to Perplexity’s tech to develop new AI-driven products. It's a symbiotic relationship aiming to expand audiences and revenue streams.

AI’s Impact on the Bottom Line

Google reported a surge in ad revenue, attributing it to deep AI investments that improved ad targeting and user engagement. Their AI-integrated search tools now reach 1.5 billion monthly users.

Pinterest projected higher-than-expected revenue, thanks to AI tools that boosted ad spend and user engagement, especially among Gen Z. Their integration with platforms like Shopify and Adobe Commerce is paying off.

Not All AI Launches Are Smooth

Amazon’s Alexa+, the new AI-powered voice assistant, is facing a rocky start. Despite a high-profile launch, user engagement appears minimal, with few real-world users reporting experiences. It's a reminder that even tech giants can stumble.

What’s Next?

Expect AI to become even more integrated into marketing strategies, from personalized content to real-time ad targeting. The focus will be on tools that deliver measurable outcomes and enhance user experiences without compromising privacy.
